Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) Requirements
Continuing Education or PDH is known as CPC in Vermont
Vermont professional engineers are required to earn 30 PDH biennially. All of the required hours can be earned through online continuing education courses. EZpdh.com courses are accepted by the Vermont Board of Professional Engineering. The following table shows a quick rundown of license renewal requirements.

Course Content | Courses shall have content areas aimed at maintaining, improving, or expanding the skill set and knowledge relevant to the licensee’s field and methods of engineering practice. Examples of acceptable coursework include:

Online Courses | Accepted. For Professional Engineers, there is no limit on the number of PDHs that can be earned through online continuing education |
PDH Carryover | PDH credits must be earned within the three years prior to the biennial license renewal. Therefore, credit earned up to one year before the renewal date can be carried forward, provided those credits have not been counted for the previous renewal cycle. (Credits earned can be counted for only one renewal cycle.) |
