Indiana professional engineers are required to earn 30 PDH biennially. All of the required hours can be earned through online continuing education courses. EZpdh.com courses are accepted by the Indiana State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. The following table shows a quick rundown of license renewal requirements.

Course Content | At least one PDH must be in ethics applicable to the practice of engineering And at least one PDH must be on the subject of Indiana’s engineering laws and rules. Otherwise, there are no specific restrictions on course content. In general, the course must be “designed to directly enhance a professional engineer’s knowledge and skill in providing services relevant to the practice” |
Online Courses | Accepted. Distance learning courses are specifically listed as approved activities. There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through distance learning |
PDH Carryover | A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period |
