Minnesota State Requirements

MinnesotaMinnesota professional engineers are required to earn 24 PDH biennially. All of the required hours can be earned through online continuing education courses. EZpdh.com courses are accepted by the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveyoring, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design. Course ContentTechnical, non-technical, regulatory, ethical, and business practice activities for a well-rounded education provided the education directly benefits the health, safety, or welfare of the public. There must be a clear purpose and objective for each activity which will maintain, improve, or expand skills and knowledge obtained prior to initial licensure or certification or develop new and relevant skills and knowledge
Online CoursesAccepted. Internet-based courses are specifically shown as acceptable by the Minnesota Board provided an exam or other verification process is used. EZpdh.com’s online quiz satisfies this requirement
PDH CarryoverA maximum of 12 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period
Additional
  1. Dual license holders must earn professional development hours required by the license or certificate requiring the greatest number of professional development hours and must obtain in each profession a minimum of one-third of the total professional development hours required. The remaining one-third requirement may be obtained in either profession at the sole discretion of the licensee
  2. PDH completion records must be maintained for a minimum of 2 years.
