This one (1) hour course covers and highlights some of the significant changes and updates in the 2020 7th Edition Florida Building Code: Residential (FBC-R) which was recently updated from the 2017 FBC 6th Edition Florida Building Code: Residential. The student will progress through each section of the FBC-R identifying chapters, sections, and tables of where and what significant changes occurred, an explanatory brief of the change, and a listing of the exact code as seen in the FBC.Instructor: Raymond Bosek, PE

This course presents the significant code changes from the 2017 Florida Building Code to the 2020 Florida Building Code. The course highlights the differences and includes base code changes in the 2012 International Building Codes and the Florida specific changes.

This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:

  • Become familiar with some of the significant changes including additions, deletions, and modification from the 2017 6th Edition Florida Building Code: Residential to the 2020 7th Edition Florida Building Code: Residential.
